Marquette athletics takes part in several community service projects each year.

• Cure For Kirby 
  Members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) organized the group’s annual Cure for Kirby Fundraiser, which helps in raising funds for the Children’s Medical Research Foundation. .

• Al’s Run & Buzz's Bunch
  The men's & women's basketball teams continued their tradition of involvement with the Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital, participating in several pre-race activities. The Golden Eagles also hosted members of Buzz’s Bunch for the fourth-straight year at several home games throughout the 2011-12 season.

• PINK OUT
  In conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Pink Zone initiative, the Marquette women’s basketball team raised $5,000 in support of breast cancer awareness.
